A Gormotti’s Prank 1

Character:
Nia
…As Pyra’s world became a blur amidst a current of putrid breath, she was barely able to let out a scream as she watched the safety of her bed disappear from under her. Now thousands of feet in the air from a single gust of Nia’s breath, the tiny speck stopped her ascent… and slowly began to plummet. Her screams would sound similar to a fly’s wings buzzing around the room as her gaze was fixed on the hardwood floor she was falling towards. Closing her eyes and expecting the worst, Pyra felt the air rushing by her ears before she impacted the floor with an almost imperceptible thud, bouncing slightly as she rolled to a sudden stop amidst the dust and dirt that littered her new environment. “How am I—what just happened?” She mumbled out of breath, feeling around her body to see if anything was broken. She cringed as her hands ran over some bruises from the fall, but her mind was too busy wondering why she wasn’t a pile of gore right now.

“If you are still alive down there, you best start running Pyra!” a thunderous voice boomed, seeming to be miles away… really just on the other side of the bed. The ground once again began to shake violently as the giantess began to make her way to Pyra’s position. Much to her dismay, the soft fabric of the pillow was replaced with the hard unforgiving floor that gave her no time to recover from her near-death experience. To any normal sized person, the floor of the inn was pretty clean to say the least, but all Pyra could see was the dirt and grime from years of use… some probably from her own shoes as the crumbs and dirt surrounding her each jumped with every one of the giantess’ world-ending footfalls. “What’s going on?! Why is she doing this?!” She screamed, Nia’s very specific instructions still ringing in her mind as she tried to stand up on the quaking floor.

“At your size you probably aren’t getting very far let alone outrunning me… outwalking is a better word come to think of it…” Nia chuckled, deliberately taking her time to get around the bed and taunting her little friend. To her surprise, Pyra was actually still intact… and on the move, having made about an inch of progress. The colossal Gormotti smirked before continuing her stride, heading straight for the crawling tiny on the floor as the earthquakes caused by her feet got stronger. What was becoming innately apparent to the miniscule Blade below was no longer just the tremors surging the floor and shaking her bones, but something a lot worse. A thick, foul-smelling odor began to fill the air around the floor she was at, smelling strongly of rotting cheese and sweat. It didn’t take her very long to realize this was yet another sign that the giantess was getting closer, the air so thick with the stench that Pyra actually fell flat on her face in a fit of coughs and gags…
