*SNAP* The tiny woman couldn’t get a good enough view, but the sickening sound and the shrieking of her husband were all that she needed to tell what was going on. Even still, she didn’t run away, her gaze still focused on the Detective’s back.
*CRACK* Again, she heard a horrendous noise, just before the detective had thrown something off to the side, there could be no doubt anymore, it was her husband’s limbs, torn off exactly as Halara had said.
Her breathing was ragged from the sight that fell before her, but as quickly as it had started… it began to calm down as her lips quivered into a sinister smile… “heh”
“Hahaha!” The woman began to laugh seemingly unperturbed by the pain her husband was currently suffering through. She began to reveal everything then and there. That she had only married the man for his money and had no actual feelings for him.
She had already been thinking of ways to be rid of him. She could easily push him into the footfall of an unsuspecting pedestrian, or even have him drugged and placed into one of Kanai Ward’s restaurant meals. Those types of “accidents” have happened so frequently that the residents have almost become numb to that sort of thing.
As the woman continued her monologue, she’s interrupted by the Detective. “-His riches will be yours… or I suppose they would have been…” Her heart skips a beat, she had been so ecstatic at the thought of gaining everything that she hadn’t realized she could no longer hear her husband’s screams…
Instead she heard “…Indeed, I guess that’s all the proof that’s needed”
