Allie Shay lay comfortably on her stomach, legs idly kicking behind her in the air, arm resting on the ground below. The grass beneath her was soft, and cool from the evening air, a perfect time to relax. A sleek bracelet rested around her wrist, its thin ring of light glowing steadily a soft, green hue that marked her as a Tiny grown to Normal size.
In front of her, two Tinies struggled between her fingers, darting back and forth as she lazily blocked their paths, tapping the ground just ahead of them or scooping them back when they tried to break away.
“C’mon, don’t just run in straight lines,” Allie hummed, a playful grin tugging at her lips. “You’re making it too easy.” A quick flick of her finger redirected one of them, sending them stumbling. She giggled softly.
Behind her, pressed beneath her foot and caught between her toes, two more were in a much more precarious position She shifted slightly, applying just enough pressure to keep them pinned, absentmindedly rubbing her foot together as if testing their attempts to move. She didn’t even care look back at them. Her attention stayed forward.
The remaining Tiny in front of her finally stopped running. “…You said you’d help us!” he shouted, his voice small but sharp.
Allie blinked, tilting her head. “Did I?” she said lightly.
“Y-you’re one of us!” he added, breathless. “You’re a Tiny too! you know what it’s like!”
That made her pause. For a moment, her fingers stilled. Then she smiled. “Yeah.” Allie admitted, tapping one of them back when they tried to move again. “I do.” There was no anger in her voice. No hesitation, just honesty. “That’s kinda why I like this so much!”
Allie shifted her hand, gently picking him up by his head not enough to crush it, but just enough to remind them she could.
“It’s always been fun~” she continued, almost thoughtfully. “Watching from up here, I mean. The way everything works when you’re like them.” Behind her, her foot shifted again slow, casual, and thoughtless. A quiet, muffled struggle followed. Allie barely reacted. As she shifted, the bracelet on her wrist caught the light again, its glow steady. “You should try it sometime.” she added with a faint grin, like she was sharing a joke.
“Just let us go.” the man in her grip insisted, desperation creeping in now. “You don’t have to do this…!”
Allie let out a small laugh. “I know.” She leaned in slightly, her red eyes glinting with amusement.
“But where’s the fun in that~?”
